The Industrial Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for delivery, installation, monitoring, and process improvement of the various manufacturing processes, including Forging/Cold heading, Heat Treat, Plating and Sorting/Collation.  He/she will serve as an expert resource to the Operations team, understanding the specifications and requirements for our production equipment.  This position will also work closely with our U.K. process engineering team to ensure consistency and common methodology across the organization.


  • Always operate, utilize, and maintain the equipment in a safe manner, and comply with related company policies and procedures.
  • Oversight of operations to identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, waste reduction, safety/ergonomics, etc.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects
  • Investigation and resolution of process and product deviations.
  • Development of process changes to accommodate new products and improvements to existing products.
  • Design and support development of tools and fixtures to support lean manufacturing.
  • Interface with Design Engineering, Product Development, and Purchasing teams to develop products for manufacturing.
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel to develop process and procedural documentation.
  • Works with Design Engineering during the component design phase to ensure the design can be manufactured in a cost effective manner.
  • Prepares technical procedures and documents to support improvements, processes and changes.
  • On site resource to solve manufacturing process problems.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to operate effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Adaptable and willingness to learn and develop.
  • Ability to share knowledge and teach proper methods and procedures.
  • Computer skills to include (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD is plus)
  • Ability to adapt and adjust priorities as necessary to support operations.
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally periodically as needed.
  • Ability to safely move about a large production facility as needed, on a regular basis.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Material Science Engineering is preferred or minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience as a forging tooling engineer or technical expertise in heat treat and/or mechanical plating processes. 

Required Education

  • B.S. in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or Material Science preferred or equivalent experience required
  • Must be able to legally work in the U.S.  Visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
